Shows how vegetables are necessary for a healthy diet, presenting the different vitamins, minerals, and nutrients found in these foods and explaining how the elements fit into a diet balanced with the basic food groups. Slim and his friends remind the residents of Nutri-City that such nutrients as vitamin A and vitamin C help the body maintain healthy skin, eyes, and teeth and stress that vegetables are a tasty and energizing snack. The program also discusses good table manners and how to be polite to others during mealtime.
