School Show : Attention to Prevention! 0

This 50 minute program focuses on the dangers of drugs, both legal and illegal. Through the use of original music, dance, skits and lots of audience participation, children learn how drugs hurt those who use them. It defines addiction and explores the false images of drugs promoted by ads selling tobacco and alcohol. It empowers children to resist negative peer pressure and ends by showing students how they can successfully avoid drugs, find positive alternatives and lead healthier and happier lives. (Grades 3-6)

Students Discover the:

  • Dangers of cocaine, marijuana, tobacco and alcohol.
  • Effects of short and long-term drug use on physical and mental health, social relationships and intellectual abilities.
  • Power of peer pressure.
  • Influence of the media.
  • Importance of critical thinking skills.
  • what can be done to increase physical activity.
